Shirley joined our team in January 2022 to help during tax season and liked it so much she’s decided to stay!
Shirley graduated from Central Texas College with an AAS in Criminal Justice. Throughout her career, she’s held positions in Finance and Insurance. Most notably as a finance officer, accounts receivable/payable and grant manager, at the University of Oxford and licensed insurance agent/manager at United Services Automobile Association (USAA). She’s excited for her future at Jebran & Abraham as she takes on more responsibility.
As the daughter of an Army Officer, Shirley has had the pleasure of living all over the world which sparked her love of travel. Fun fact: Shirley was born in Stuttgart, Germany and went to high school in Hawaii. She and her husband, Dr. Matt Schombs, continued to travel as he worked his way through graduate school and eventually landed in England at the University of Oxford to do his Post-Doctoral Research. In total, they have visited over 15 countries and dream of adding more with their 9 year-old son, Luca.
In her free time, Shirley is passionate about volunteering her time as the Vice President of the Parent Teacher Organization with an emphasis in fundraising. Shirley and her team run the Annual Silent Auction where through community generosity have helped fund STEM robots, various academic assemblies and new playground equipment for their school.
